Marshall’s men’s basketball team tips off against Middle Tennessee tonight in the Cam Henderson center. Here are a few notes about Middle Tennessee:
Member of the Sun Belt Conference. Picked to finish third (pre-season poll) in the conferences eastern half.
Desmond Yates a senior forward was named to the Sun Belt all conference pre-season first team. Last year Yates averaged 17.2ppg. Yates will not be playing in tonight’s game due to a knee injury.
Middle Tennessee is 1 -1 this season with a win over King College (93 – 73) and a loss to Ohio (81 – 68).
During there first two games guard/forward Montarrio Haddock has been pacing the blue raiders averaging 24ppg and 6.5reb.
Also averaging double figures in points for the first two games are guard James Washington (17.5ppg) forward J.T Sutton (14ppg) and guard James Gallman (11ppg)
