Per the twitter account of former Marshall sports information director Randy Burnside, Donald Brown has been dismissed from the football team for a unspecified rules violation.
Brown, a rising junior, started at safety last year and recorded 75 tackles and 3 interceptions. During spring practice Brown was demoted to second string safety behind freshman Evan McKelvey, brother of fellow Marshall defensive back Omar Brown (no relation to Donald).
