Hassan Whiteside & Tyler Wilkerson wrap up NBA Summer League action

Former Marshall big men Tyler Wilkerson and Hassan Whiteside wrapped up their inaugural NBA Summer League seasons last week.

Whiteside had a big game on Friday, scoring 10 points, grabbing 4 rebounds, and blocking 3 shots against the Chicago Bulls. For 6 games (all starts), Whiteside averaged 6.8 points, 2.3 blocks, and 5 rebounds per game. Whiteside was also second to DeMarcus Cousins in minutes per game with 25.8.

With James Gist hurt Wilkerson started the Spurs last two games at power forward. In those two games Wilkerson averaged 11 points and 6 rebounds in over 24 minutes of play. For the Summer League Wilkerson averaged 11 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. Below, you can watch two impressive highlights from Wilkerson. The first is a steal and ally-oop jam off of Clippers forward Al-Farouq Aminu. Our second clip is Wilkerson posterizing former second overall draft pick Hasheem Thabeet with a monster jam.
