Yesterday I posted about Marshall’s connections to Thursdays college football kickoff (http://marshallthunderingblog.blogspot.com/2009/09/kickoff-night-marshall-connections.html). Figured it might be a good idea to follow up on the action.Ball State coach Stan Parish had a rough outing in Muncie as the Cardinals fell to North Texas 20 – 10. With former star quarterback Nate Davis in the NFL Ball State had a difficult time moving the ball. Hopefully for all of us Parish fans the head coach can turn things around. Ball State gets former Marshall opponent New Hampshire next week.
Marshall’s September 19th opponent Bowling Green bowled (yeah I know that was bad) over Troy state at home last night 34 – 17. Falcons coach Dave Clawson got his first win at BGSU while quarterback Tyler Sheehan threw for 339 yards on 32 completions and two touchdowns. Bowling Green heads to Missouri next week before taking on the Herd.
