Opponent Watch

Going to let my inner blogger out on this post. I was hoping to keep you all updated with Southern Illinois information leading up to this weeks game. It appears that no one in southern Illinois, or any where for that matter, cares enough about Saluki football to write an article about SIU. Yes, there has been a lot written about SIU from the West Virginia media but almost nothing from Illinois. Since the article I posted yesterday about LAST THURSDAYS scrimmage there has been a dearth of info coming out of Saluki territory. A D-Bag at the Washington Times named Patrick Stevens thinks that Marshall is the third most likely 1-A school to be upset by a 1-AA institution this week. Read about it here: http://washingtontimes.com/weblogs/d1scourse/2009/sep/01/the-lower-division-conundrum-circa-2009/

I am going to say it for every one to see, there is no way we lose on Saturday. Marshall has a very good football team, we have been through four years of mediocrity and this weekend we start to turn the page. SIU might keep it close for two quarters but our superior depth and talent will kill them in the end.
