Former Marshall University pitcher Dan Staily had an impressive performance in his first AAA start last night. Taking the bump for the Sacramento River Cats, Straily pitched seven shutout innings, striking out eight batters while only allowing three hits. Straily earned the win as Sacramento beat the Fresno Grizzlies 6-0.
For the year Straily has registered 116 K’s, the most in professional baseball.
