Former Marshall University pitcher Dan Straily is off to a hot start with the Stockton Ports (High A, California League). In 32 innings pitched (5 starts) Straily has an ERA of 2.53 with 31 strike outs to only 9 walks.
After finishing his career at Marshall Straily was drafted in the 24th round (723 overall) by the Oakland Athletics. Over three minor league season Strailey has a combined ERA of 4.03 with an impressive 9.3 strike outs per 9 innings.
