Forty three years ago today, November 14th 1970, a plane carrying 75 members of the Marshall University family crashed short of Tri-State Airport in Kenova W.V., killing all on board. Like every November 14th since its dedication in 1972, the Marshall community will gather at the memorial fountain to mark this tragic anniversary. Lets never forget those true son’s and daughter’s of Marshall who lost their lives that day.
For those wishing to watch this year’s
memorial service, the university is providing a live internet feed starting at
12 p.m., click here to
watch.
Also, playing a road game on November 14th for the first time in 43 years, Marshall’s football team will wear a special helmet decal honoring all 75 victims of Southern Airways flight 932.

From the ashes we rose, We are... Marshall.
