Tied 14-14 at half time, Marshall used a strong second half effort to pull away and defeat Miami (OH) 52-14. Piloted by quarterback Rakeem Cato, the Thundering Herds offense accumulated 304 rushing and 287 passing yards. Marshall's defense was equally impressive, preventing the RedHawks from making a single third down conversion in the second half.
