Landon, Marshall wide receiver Angelo Jean-Louis was sentenced yesterday on three felony charges stemming from an April arrest.
Appearing in Cabell County magistrate court, Jean-Louis was sentenced
to 500 hours of community service and enrolled into a six-month pretrial
diversion program. The diversion program requires that Jean-Louis stay out of
legal trouble for the duration of his sentence. If he fails to comply,
Jean-Louis could be tried on all three felony charges.
One of the top prospects in Marshall’s 2013 recruiting
class, Jean-Louis was arrested on April 9th after using a stolen credit card at a
7-Eleven near campus. He was also found with a stolen cell phone.
According to Landon, Jean-Louis is on track to be eligible for the 2014 season.
