This will be the last verbal commitment watch until new recruits commit to Marshall. All of our current commitments have finished there seasons.
*I have no information if the coaching change has affected these recruits status with Marshall. Athletic Director Mike Hammrick told the Charleston Gazette that all accepted scholarship offers would be honored. Please note they have only verbally committed, none have inked a letter of intent which occurs in February.*
DE/TE Jamie Onufrak, Out Door Academy:
Out Door Academy lost to Glades Day 48 – 20 which ended their season in the class 1B Florida state semifinal game. Glades Day freshman running back Kelvin Taylor (son of NFL running back Fred Taylor) rushed for 366 yards and 5 touchdowns during the victory. Onufrak caught one pass for 9 yards. For the season Onufrak had 24 receptions for 320 yards and four touchdowns. TE/LS James Powers, Myrtle Beach High School:
Myrtle Beach High School lost to Clinton in the South Carolina AAA state championship game 35 – 26 this past Saturday. Powers does not appear in the game story but you can read it here: http://www.thesunnews.com/news/local/story/1201187.html
DE A.J Scott, Robert E Lee High School:

WR Raheem Waiters, Riverside High School:
After tearing his ACL during the football season Waiters is not playing basketball or running track for Riverside this year. LB Trevor Black, Hargrave Military Academy:
Black has qualified academically and was planning to enroll at Marshall this spring before coach Snyder resigned. There has been no word of those plans changing.
DE Darien Moody, Gahanna Lincoln High School:
Gahanna Lincoln finished there season on October 30th with a 35 – 28 win over Groveport. Lincoln closed out the year with a 4 - 6 record.
